Prevent sabotage of the Russian-Chinese gas pipeline in the Siberian taiga as part of GRU special forces
TEAM SPECIALISTS
Under the leadership of reserve officers of the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), you will operate in a zone of action encompassing nearly 1,000 sq miles of Central Siberia. GRU leaders have combat experience and expertise in parachute jumping mountaineering and diving. At different points during the mission, they may be assisted by other professionals, including pilots, hunters, biathletes and rock climbers. Operations will be monitored by EMERCOM helicopter-based search and rescue.
FULL IMMERSION
In this fully interactive scenario, you choose how to execute each phase of the mission, the level of difficulty and territory covered. You might engage with a commando scuba-diving team in the purest and deepest lake in the world, Lake Baikal; ski SWAT-style in the ranges of the majestic Western Sayan mountains; base jump into the 120-meter deep Siberian Earth Hole; traverse the largest hydroelectric power station in Russia; acquire survival skills directly from the local Tofalar people; or perhaps encounter a real Siberian bear.
The Russian Main Intelligence Directorate or GRU is one of the best and most private military intelligence government security groups in the world. Its basic mission is military intelligence and special operations force development.
Initially, the GRU special forces unit was created to deal with NATO and sabotage by other nuclear enemies. The main quality of these intelligence professionals is an ability to think fast and act conscientiously in extreme combat situations. GRU operatives are trained in a variety of martial disciplines, as their original purpose was to operate behind enemy lines, where one needs to survive, and complete missions at any cost by any means necessary.
