Your mission takes place in the Amazon under the supervision of officers of the British special forces SAS (Special Air Service), who are highly experienced in jungle combat and survival. These specialists participated in military exercises and operations around the world, from the Persion Gulf, to the Falkland Islands, to the Indian Himalayas. At some stages of the mission they may be assisted by local guides and hunters and members of the U.S. military.
In this fully interactive scenario, you choose how to execute each phase of the mission, the level of difficulty and territory covered. Perhaps you will raft the old indian Portaro river or rappel from the one of the largests waterfalls in the world. You might come face-to-face with giant anacondas or encounter local Indians who will teach you their system of hunting and survival.
Serving as the centrepiece of Canada's special operations, JTF2 is primarily tasked with counter-terrorism operations but also specializes in direct action, hostage rescue, personnel recovery, and foreign internal defense. Much of the information regarding Joint Task Force 2 is classified, and is not commented on by the Government of Canada.
The Government of Canada authorizes the overall missions and tasks undertaken by JTF2 at all times. Just like other Canadian Armed Forces units, JTF 2 must be prepared to deploy worldwide.
